Material of fresh air system mainly includes the following types:
PVC pipe: PVC pipe requires more joints during construction, including various reducers and elbows, which are glued. Fresh air system with large air volume requires thicker pipes (more than 110mm). It is difficult to make holes in beams, and it is easy to cut steel bars. Unreasonable design may lead to uneven wind speed in the whole room and easy air leakage. The pipe layout is similar to tree branches.
PE pipe: PE pipe is a hose. It is a whole pipe from the branch box to each room. There is no joint, and the pipe layout is flexible and changeable. The pipe layout is similar to octopus. It is recommended to use PE pipe for residential use because it does not require glue and has high environmental protection performance.
Universal pipe: The curvature and thickness of the universal pipe determine its performance. When purchasing, try the curvature to see if it can be restored to its original state; the thickness cannot be ignored. Thick-walled pipes are less likely to deform and have smaller wind resistance.
Silencer: The thicker the filling material of the silencer, the better the noise reduction effect. The material of the silencer is also critical, which directly affects the service life and noise reduction effect. Both the fresh air and exhaust ducts need to be equipped with silencers before and after, and the silencers at the end can also be optional.
Air distribution box: The material of the air distribution box can be EPP or built-in silencer cotton. The volume must be large to stabilize the flow. The more air outlets, the better. At least 7 or more are required to ensure that the air volume of the equipment is fully released.
Fresh air duct: The most common material for fresh air ducts is PE. When choosing, pay attention to whether it is easy to deform and whether the inner wall is smooth. In addition, environmental protection cannot be ignored, and an environmental protection test report is required. Other materials include EPP, stainless steel, PVC, etc., which can be selected according to needs.
Terminal soft air outlet: The thicker the thickness of the terminal soft air outlet, the better the noise reduction effect. When choosing, you must see whether the material is environmentally friendly, and there must be a sealing cover at the end to prevent dust from entering.
Exterior wall hood: It is recommended to choose an exterior wall hood made of stainless steel, which is durable and corrosion-resistant. Choose a hood with a large diameter to take in more air. Pay attention to the angle when installing. The air inlet should be at the bottom or on the front. Installing it tilted outward can prevent rainwater from flowing back. Tree fork type connecting pipe fittings: More common in centralized return air systems, choose U-shaped tees and oblique tees for smaller air resistance. For two 75 pipes, you can use a PE pipe U-shaped tee to merge into a 110 port, and it is forbidden to reduce the diameter at will.
The selection and use of these materials directly affect the performance and effect of the fresh air system, so special attention should be paid when purchasing and installing.
